Several homes and vehicles have been shot at in Philadelphia leaving some residents fearing for their lives.
Malik Hoskins and a juvenile have been charged with aggravated assault in the shootings, but three others suspects are still on the run.
The Robinhood Circle area is usually a quiet neighborhood.
“It sounded like machine guns going off,” says Wendy Spears, victim.
Gunfire erupted across the neighborhood last week and Wendy Spears’ property was caught in the crossfire. Spears’ house and car were peppered by bullets.
“I have lived here for 31 years and nobody has ever tried to do anything like this to me, my house my kids anything.”
Spears’ car was hit about a dozen times while her son was driving it home from work.
Later Spears’ house was hit. Luckily no one was home. Police found the shell casing in Spears’ living room.
“It doesn’t make any sense to me,” says Spears. “My son has never done anything to anybody for them to do any kind of retaliation against me or my son.”
Two men have been arrested, but three other suspects are on the run. Police say the five also hit Railroad Ave. and Cora St. damaging more homes and vehicles there.
“At this time we do not have a motive, no,” says Chief Grant Myers.
Motive or not, cops will be patrolling the areas more to help give residents peace of mind while searching for the wanted suspects.
Spears sent her son out-of-state to keep him safe.
“I hope and pray that these mothers out there at these kids belong to will get control of the situation and get these guns and get these kids off the street,” says Spears.
Police are still looking for Jakenzie Wilson, Rodrick Talley and Carfino Burnside. Authorities are offering a reward for information leading to arrests in the investigation. Call Philadelphia Police or Crimestoppers if you have any information.
