A changing of the guard.
Captain Herbert Dew will be sworn in as the new Chief of Police for the Kosciusko Police Department in a ceremony Monday, Nov. 30.
Dew was selected to succeed Chief RJ Adams by the Kosciusko Board of Aldermen at the Oct. 6 city council meeting.
Adams announced his retirement in July.
Adams has been working with Dew over the past weeks to help him with the transition to chief.
The ceremony will begin at 6:00 pm at City Hall.
