And the winner of the Kicks 96 Country Showdown is – Dylan Davis.
The finale for the Kicks 96 Country Music Showdown was held last night at the Beach Club at Clearwater key.
Nine performers took the stage last night:

- Amber Holley (Philadelphia)
- Dylan Davis (Kosciusko)
- Josh Jolly (Philadelphia)
- Shelby Swain (Philadelphia)
- Callie Prince (Philadelphia)
- Josh Storey (Philadelphia)
- Rachel Boswell (Ackerman)
Each artist sang two songs in front of a packed house with a crowd of around 200 watching and waiting. Each summer the hometown talent contest, sponsored by Kicks96 radio station and Boswell Media, paves the road to stardom for one lucky winner.
Davis a singer, songwriter, and musician from Kosciusko will now move to the next round of competition in the Country Music Showdown. Davis will appear in the state finals in October at the Mississippi State Fair. A tie was held between the 2nd and 3rd place winners last night with Josh Jolly and Lovin’ Ledbetter.
Approximately $200,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded nationwide, including the grand prize package valued at $100,000 to the national winner, presented at the National Final televised special.
