SheCor Cares will be holding “Pink Tea”, a breast cancer awareness seminar and brunch, Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Attala County Library from 10:00 am – 11:30 am.
The speaker for this event will be Sherika Harvey, CSI, PIM, and Certified Health Education Instructor. Mrs. Anita Greer, Nurse Practitioner, has been asked to speak at this year’s event as well.
The seminar will provide valuable information on early detection and awareness. Participants will also be taught how to perform self breast exams and will have the chance to share memoirs of themselves and/or loved ones.
Men are strongly urged to attend as men can develop breast cancer too.
A silent auction will be held to showcase “Pretty Pink Bracelets” from the Princess Jewelry Boutique donated by owner and designer, Krishauna Harvey, to raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness research.
2016 – 2017 Pink Ribbon Pocket Planners and Breast Cancer Awareness Folding Fans will also be on hand for sale.
As a specialty this year, Breast Cancer Awareness Emery Boards will be given to those who make at least a $5 donation at the event.
Light refreshments will be served.
